Setting up Belkin AC1200 or AC750 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender

The Belkin AC1200 or AC750 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender is a 802.11ac 2x2 simultaneous dual-band wireless range extender.

It allows you to expand your Wi-Fi system to get content and stream music or videos on your cell devices. This report will lead you on how to set this up properly.

Step 1:

Twist the range extender into a wall outlet.

Step 2:

Connect your wireless client device to the default SSID of your range extender.

QUICK TIP: The default name of this Belkin range extender is Belkin.Setup.

Step 3:

Get any web browser and visit belkin.range to start the Setup Wizard.

NOTE: as an alternative, you might get the web-based installment page using http://192.168.206.1.

Step 4:

Click Start Setup.

QUICK TIP: The automated software upgrade is checked by default.

NOTE: To bypass the Setup Wizard, click on the Manual Setup link in the bottom of the page.

Step 5:

Select your wireless domain. If you're stretching a dual-band router, then select both of your wireless community names.

QUICK TIP: When your wireless system is not on the list, click the Refresh icon to update the listing.

Step 6:

Enter your wireless password and click on Next.

Your prolonged network is the wireless network of the extender your client devices will relate to. It automatically names your Desktop Computer using the _Ext suffix. You could even customize your extended network by changing the Network Title , Password along with Safety mode. Then, click on Next to keep.

Step 7:

On the Secure your range extender page, enter your preferred admin password to access your extender's settings. You can also create a hint password. After that, click on Conserve .

Step 8:

Your range extender will restart. Wait until the LED turns blue, then connect your wireless client to the extender's network name. Once the Next button turns green, click on it.

NOTE: The following button will automatically NOT turn green till you aren't linked to this extenders wireless domain.

Setup is now complete. Click on http://belkin.range connection to get the scope extender's on line installation page and upgrade its preferences.

You should now have set your range extender.
